Sometimes the problem is simple…
Are you connected to a power supply?
Is it plugged in?
Is it turned on?
Does it have a battery?
Is the battery charged sufficiently?

Narrow down the problem yourself?
Static, Buzzing, Crackling Noise.
Dead, No Dial Tone.
Identify the source of trouble.
Is the trouble on one phone or all phones?
Just one. Try a different jack.
If all phones are troubled test at Interface.
Interface box will be located outside where the company line feeds to your building/home.
Plug a good working phone into the interface.
If you can make a clean call, trouble is in your phone, wiring, or equipment.
Next, if you have more than one phone check to see if an individual telephone is your problem.
Test by unplugging all phones. Try one at a time.
If that does not clear the line, Call Telephone Kelly.
